At-Large Member
Kathleen Forrest is the Branch Broker and Leader for Metro Brokers of Oklahoma, specializing in residential real estate. For over 10 consecutive years, she was the #1 single producing agent and consistently ranks among the top 1/2, 1% of real estate professionals in the Nation.
Born and raised in a rural Kansas farming community, Kathleen’s journey is a testament to perseverance and determination. She holds two Bachelor’s degrees, a Master’s degree, and a brokerage license. Early in her career, she worked as a teacher and an advocate for children with special needs, where she recognized a significant gap in resources for individuals with disabilities seeking homeownership. Her efforts led to the successful passage of a grant designed to provide critical assistance for these individuals. Her advocacy didn’t stop there. Kathleen turned her focus to single mothers, helping them navigate existing assistance programs that were often overlooked. By opening doors to housing opportunities, she created a lasting, generational impact on hundreds of families.
Kathleen brings the same passion and relentless drive to real estate, where she has sold over 2,824 homes in the past 11 years, nearing $1 billion in total sales. She has also built a personal rental portfolio of 60 units. Her clientele ranges from local homebuyers to relocating professionals, including military personnel, oil and gas workers, Boeing employees, medical professionals, and even international buyers. Her dedication to military clients stems from personal experience—when she relocated to Oklahoma in 2003 with her husband, an Air Force officer, she saw firsthand the challenges military families face when moving across states or even continents. Assisting them through these often complex transitions has been one of the most rewarding aspects of her career.
Beyond real estate, Kathleen is deeply committed to giving back. She continuously performs random acts of kindness, both big and small, to create meaningful change in others’ lives. She has co-authored three self- help books: Real Estate GameChangers, The Golden Rules of Success with Jay Abraham, and Empathy; Understanding in Business with Chris Voss—earning a Quilly Award for each. She also co-produced Getting Everything You Can Out of All You’ve Got – The Jay Abraham Story. Kathleen holds the prestigious Maxwell Leadership Certification and is a Certified Relocation and New Construction Specialist, as well as a Certified Member of Women-Owned Small Business.
In 2021, she was inducted into Marquis Who’s Who which is selected based on position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field. Her passion for advocacy deepened following a personal tragedy—the murder of her sister in an act of domestic violence. This devastating event fueled her commitment to supporting vulnerable communities, including military families, the homeless, and survivors of domestic abuse and sex trafficking.
She has played a key role in establishing a school for girls in the Philippines, which continues to thrive. Kathleen has also served as an assistant producer on Brisa, an award-winning documentary about Brisa De Angulo Losada’s fight and victory in changing the law to gain justice for survivors of sexual abuse against girls and adolescents (Brisa De Angulo Losada vs Bolivia). As Kathleen’s philanthropic work has expanded, so has her focus.
While she remains a powerhouse in real estate, she dedicates more of her time and resources to humanitarian efforts. A recent visit to the City of Refuge in Atlanta, where she is involved in producing a documentary about the transformative work being done there, further solidified her mission—to create lasting change in the lives of those who need it most.
