Duane Cummings
Executive Director
Executive Director, US Army Veteran
Duane comes to the Warriors for Freedom Foundation with decades of executive leadership experience in a variety of industries. Honored to be known as a servant leader who continues to flip the org chart and defines CEO as “Constantly Elevating Others.” Everyday is a "get to" as I focus on making the world a better place by serving others. The aim is to die empty. I love sharing my gifts and talents to help people turn challenges into opportunities, gain clarity and begin living life on their own terms, especially my brothers and sisters in arms.
There are people who know me as a C-Level Executive, Entrepreneur, Solutions Strategist, Public Speaker, Advocate, Personal/Professional Coach, Author, Mentor, Advisor, Philanthropist. Use whatever label you wish...I'm not limited by my "BIO" and am humbly here to SERVE. It just so happens that as the executive director of Warriors, I'm able to bring my talents to bare in the not for profit space.
The importance of teamwork and leadership skills were drilled into me early in life, and then honed while serving in the U.S. Army. Fortunately, the results later provided championships as a professional soccer player and coach. After retiring from athletics, I transitioned to the business world and held several executive and management positions, before launching my start up wholesale clothing line (The Duke & Dutchess Company)...it became bigger than I ever dreamed. After successfully selling, I spent the next few decades as partners in, or owner of companies in a variety of industries and have been asked to lead numerous unique projects such as: being privileged to serve as CEO of Leadercast, the COO and an equity partner during the preparation and sale of Erick Flowback Services, LLC (Oil & Gas Service Providers,) facilitated a "facelift" for the entire athletic department at Strathmore University in Nairobi, Kenya, and as the Executive Director of a few amazing non profit organizations.
The opportunity to serve this organization is my highest honor and I look forward to completing the mission and Ending Veteran Suicide.
